Knife Description:
The wood is vaccum injected with a mixture of hardened methacrylate esters, which increases its density and makes the whole handle resistant to moisture, cracks and hard impact.
Designed by renowned English custom knifemaker Alan Wood, known for his hand made Bushcraft and Deer Stalking knives, the Safari is a perfect compact hunters tool.
The full-tang blade is made from hollow-ground 12C27 Swedish Stainless Steel (59HRC). The knife is sharpened with a Full Flat grind and has a Satin finish. The design in combination with the materials used makes this a very beautiful but highly resilient piece of kit. Ideal as a small skinner for small deer and as a small belt for safari hunters.
The designer, Alan Wood, has been a professional knifemaker since 1985 and has become the UK's most emulated craftsman due to his practical and attractive designs. He is also well known for his collaboration with survival expert Ray Mears. Comes with a sturdy leather sheath.
The knife comes with a brown Knife Sheath made of vegetable tanned leather. The Sheath has 55 mm wide Belt Loop (60 mm), a bottom opening for fluid.
