Knife Description:

Victorinox’s line of premium forged cutlery represents the culmination of 126 years of striving to produce the finest knives in the world.

The knife’s blade is forged in the heartland of forged cutlery in Solingen, Germany and finished in Switzerland, where they are polished and ground to produce a world renowned edge.

The 17 cm Santoku Knife features a POM Thermoplastic Handle with a single piece, Full Tang construction that is triple riveted for maximum durability.

The Japanese Santoku is useful for straight chopping, mincing, and slicing of larger quantities of vegetables and meat.

Cooks with smaller hands may prefer this 17 cm blade as the shorter length offers better control while cutting.

This version of the Santoku actually has a hollow edge or oval cut-outs along the blade. The benefit to this blade style is that cooks can cut paper-thin slices and individual slices won’t stick to the blade as the hollow or granton edge allows air between the blade and the item being cut, allowing for extra-thin cutting and slicing.

The High-Carbon Stainless-Steel is ice tempered to sustain its sharpness longer and hot dropped for superior elasticity and strength.

Honing is made easier thanks to a bolsterless edge that makes the entire edge available for use.
