It all starts with a sheet of 1095 High Carbon Spring D2 Tool Steel. This particular grade of metal is also called Cutlery Steel, and is well known for its use in manufacturing saw blades.

This particular High Carbon Steel is recognized for edge holding ability. It hones to an unbelievable razor sharp edge, retains its edge and easier to sharpen.

The bottom line is if you are looking blade that holds an edge, is razor sharp and re-sharpens easily, and you are willing to keep it maintained, this is the blade for you.

Features D2 Tool Steel manufactured in Full-Tang construction. Elk or Moose Scale Slabs are cut, polished, and pinned through the blade tang to give the knife superb Control and Balance.

Our Slab Series Shires Knife is guaranteed to provide the hardcore Sportsmen with one of most practical and durable Knives ever used. These are a "must have" for the Professional Sportsman.
