Knife Description:
The Silver Stag D2 Gut Slab Gut-Hook Knife is manufactured out of quality D2 Tool Steel; a High Carbon Steel possessing extremely high wear resisting properties. Its high Chromium content provides good corrosion resistance.
The Gut Slab comes with an 7.5 cm modified Drop-Point Blade with an ultra-sharp Gut-Hook.
Silver Stag heat-treat their D2 Blades to a Hardness of 60 RcH on the Rockwell Scale. This results in Blades will retain their factory edge for extended periods of heavy use.
When it does come time to re-sharpen, your Tool Steel Blade it is easier to sharpen than Stainless Steel. Anyone who has ever used a good D2 Steel Blade in the field, raves about the Steel’s cutting ability, durability, and edge holding properties. Silver Stag strongly believes D2 is the best Steel you can use for a hard-core, working knife!
The Silver Stag Gut Slab Hunting Knife comes with shed Moose or Elk Antler Handle Scales with double Brass Rivets.
