The unique 420HC Wharncliffe Blade design with a dull Backbone and hollow grind allows for more precise cutting like filleting tenderloins, while the stout shortness of the blade provides strength for larger jobs such as cutting backbones, wings and joints.

Buck selected Micarta as the Handle Material due to its great durability and strength. It's nearly impervious to weather, oils, and solvents, making it slip resistant in wet conditions. Also aiding in the non-slip Grip is its naturally inherent textured Surface, which provides just the right amount of Grip.
