Caring deeply about their work, they drop forge each Blade from American High Carbon Steel, then hand-temper, grind and finish it. The result is top notch Craftsmanship.

The Handles are lathed from American Hickory. The best Stress Capacity and Resistance to blows make Hickory the right choice for good Axe Handles.

Axe Description:

The Snow and Nealley Outdoorsman’s Belt Axe / Hatchet is a backpacker's dream, Compact enough to fit in a backpack, this premium quality axe is ideal for splitting kindling at camp or on the trail.

The 1-1/4 lb. Axe Head is drop-forged from High-carbon Steel, flame hardened for strength and durability and then worked to exacting specifications to provide you with a tool that has a look and feel all its own.

The Hatchet comes with a 36 cm lathed from American Hickory which is the right choice for good Axe Handles.

The Outdoorsman's Belt Axe is the perfect lightweight Hatchet for the NZ Outdoor Enthusiast. A great starter axe for the young camper!
