Product Description:
The Opinel Knife, crafted high in the French Alps, famous and virtually unchanged since 1890. With a classic and unique design, these French country knives do all have a natural Wood Handle.
The Santoku is the most versatile knife which came from Japanese culture. It became inescapable in the kitchen around the world.
This Santoku’s Granton Edge enhances a knife's cutting and slicing performance by creating tiny air pockets between the food and the blade.
Slices won't stick to its dimpled blade, making cutting more rapid as well as better chopping and finely slicing. Easily cut fatty ingredients like salmon.
The Blades are manufactured out of German X50CrMoV15 Stainless Steel with Opinel’s crowned hand hallmark Etching. The full-tang blade extends throughout the entire length of the handle. The knife is robust and well balanced.
The Handle is in Beechwood from sustainably managed forests and it is no varnished. It is stabilized to improve water resistance. Its ergonomic design is an homage to the traditional pocket knife and provides outstanding grip comfort.
Its exceptional cutting ability and very easy sharpening make this Santoku Knife a "Must Have" for any kitchen.
Made in France.
A free sharpening service is offered by Opinel (excluding shipping costs) for Intempora and Forgés 1890 knives (except bread knives).
