About Mora:
The town of Mora in Sweden has been a centre of knife making for many centuries.
The naturally superior Swedish steel, combined with skilled craftsmanship, resulted in knives that became famous for their ability to hold a superior edge and sharpen easily.
In fishing, sporting, hunting, survival, and tradesman circles, Mora knives are well known for their superior ability to cut, chop, carve, clean and fillet.
Knife Description:
The Morakniv Basic Wood Carving Knife is, as the name suggests, an ideal entry-level knife for Carving and Woodworking.
This hook knife has a double-edged blade. It has a somewhat smaller radius of 16 mm compared to the 163 model – perfect for the final touches.
The barrel-shaped handle is made of oiled birch wood, which gives it a natural feeling and also gives you the possibility to form the handle yourself for optimal shape.
The Knife has a 16 cm overall length and comes absolutely razor sharp and ready for use.
The Basic Wood Carving Hook Knife comes complete with a tough handle made from Birch Wood.
The knife has a Rockwell Hardness of 57-58 which gives the knife extreme strength, long life and high resistance to moisture.
Generations of carpenters and wood carvers have appreciated the precision tools made by Morakniv in Mora, Sweden since 1891.
