Knife Description:
Designed to serve our troops during World War II, the classical Ka-Bar Knife is still doing its job with honours, more than 50 years later.
During World War II, Combat Knives were made by many American knife manufacturers, but Ka-Bar's reputation was so strong that this style knife became known as a "Ka-Bar" no matter who manufactured it.
This knife is the Skeleton version of the traditional Ka-Bar Blade, it has been scaled down to carry around the Neck and serve as a Back-up or Last Ditch Knife.
The Short USA Neck / Survival Knife comes with a full-tang 9.5 cm Clip-Point Blade manufactured out of 1095 Cro-Van High Carbon Steel. It is a light weight metal framed knife weighing in at only 96.5 grams.
The Blade has a Hardness Rating of 56-58 RcH and therefore provides a great Edge which can be easily sharpened in the Field. The blade and handle are coated with a black anti-reflective powder coating.
The Knife comes with a black snap-in friction release Hard Plastic Neck Sheath.
The Tang has been stamped on both sides of the knife, one side with Ka-Bar Olean NY and on the other side with the USA Tang.
