Knife Description:

The Spyderco Watu is inspired by the traditional knife of Central and Southern Africa. A proud member of Spyderco's Ethnic Series, the Watu’s iconic Blade shape is faithfully expressed in the CPM-20CV Premium Stainless Steel.

CPM 20CV is unique tool steel made by the Crucible Particle Metallurgy Process. It is a martensitic stainless steel with a high volume of vanadium carbides for exceptionally good wear resistance. CPM 20CV contains the highest amount of chromium of any high vanadium stainless steel currently available. In the Rockwell C scale of hardness, CPM 20CV gains a rating between 58 and 61 HRC.

The full-flat-ground plain edge Blade is housed in a gracefully curved Handle built with full Stainless Steel Liners and beautifully contoured Carbon Fibre/G10 Laminate Handle Scales.

A sturdy Compressionlock Mechanism ensures that the Blade locks securely open when in use and a deep-pocket wire clip keeps the Watu poised for instant access by providing a choice of left or right-side tip-up carry.

The fit and finish of this knife is superb and it comes razor sharp from the factory as you’d expect from Spyderco.

Made in Taiwan by Taichung Knife.
