Originally designed to condense the defining features of Spyderco's Military Model into a more compact format, the Paramilitary took the knife world by storm. Its second-generation version, the Paramilitary 2, reigns as one of the most popular folding knife designs ever created and continues to inspire an expanding family of variations. The lean, open-backed design, nested stainless steel liners, and high-strength Compression Lock mechanism of this highly evolved folder complement a full-flat-ground blade, an oversized Trademark Round Hole, and a four-position clip. Together, the synergy of these elements yields a truly exemplary cutting tool that has had a profound impact on modern knife design.
Scaled down to only two thirds the size of the popular Spyderco Military Knife, the Paramilitary 2 meets the needs of those who need a more discreet version better suited to pocket carry. This model created for civilian uses keeps the good features of Spyderco's larger tactical folder.
The Spyderco Para-Military II was released in 2010 with several changes over the classic version. Implementation of a new Bushing Pivot System generates fluid action and more consistent manufacturing tolerances.
The G-10 Gandle is narrowed at the end improving ergonomics. The handle and blade have been profiled thinner to eliminate hard angles when in the pocket in a closed position.
It features a Compression Lock and an ambidextrous-friendly four way clip which carries tip-up/tip-down, left/right-hand that rests deep in a pocket.
The Para-Military 2 has a CPM-S45VN full flat-ground blade.
Overall construction refinements are not drastic or even visible to the eye, but from the G-10 textured handle to the CPM-S30V Stainless Steel full flat ground blade with a Satin Finish everything is sharper, smoother and guaranteed to provide performance and user comfort.
