Product Description:
The Lodge name is well known in Cast Iron Cookwares. A century of experience has perfected the engineering of their great design! With a quality that never falters, Lodge brings you yet another great product to serve you for years to come.
What does a Kiwi summer smell like? It has to be the mouth-watering aroma of a thick, juicy steak or fish sizzling away in a cast iron skillet.
Cast iron has no comparison for its superior searing ability and caramelising effect on both meat, fish and vegetables.
Pre-seasoned cast iron skillets and griddles from renowned American foundry Lodge are an essential kit for the barbeque, the open fire and the kitchen.
This 26 cm pre-seasoned Cast Iron Fry / Saute Skillet with sloped Sides and Assist Handle from Lodge USA is among the best in the market with the most even heat distribution and retention. These qualities reduce the amount of energy needed to cook your food.
Caring for your Lodge Cast Iron Cookware:
Properly cared for, your Lodge Cast Iron Cookware will last for more than a Lifetime. Here are some tips for maintaining your cookware for future generations.
After cooking, clean the utensil with hot water and a stiff brush. Never use a harsh detergent, as it can remove the seasoning. Towel dry thoroughly. While the utensil is dry but still warm from the not water bath, wipe a light coat of vegetable oil or cooking spray on all surfaces. Store in a cool, dry place. Do not store lids on the pot or pan to allow air circulation.
If you notice a metallic taste or see signs of rust, simply scour off the rust, wash the cookware with soap and hot water, dry thoroughly, and re-season using the home seasoning instructions.
Note: The Lodge 10-1/4-inch Skillet was rated as one of the two dozen essential tools in the home and kitchen (Martha Stewart Living February 2008).
We have a size and shape to meet any of your cooking needs, with assist handles for easier handling.
