Waterstone Description:
The 6000 Grit Waterstone is a Finish Stone Set.
A premier system for sharpening woodworking tools, knives, cutlery and other blades.
Japanese Waterstones can produce a surface that is almost unbelievably bright and chrome-like while putting a legendary edge on cutting tools.
The Japanese Waterstone is ideal for just about any knife or tool. In recent years, these stones have become very popular among woodworkers.
The fast cutting ability is favoured by woodworkers where speed and a razor sharp Edge is required.
Coarser grit stones are used to remove nicks and for first step sharpening of badly dulled tools. Mid-range grits, 1000 and 4000 take that shaped edge to a very sharp edge.
The 6000 Grit is the finishing stone that brings your final cutting edge up and completely removes scratches from the surface. The 6000 Waterstone leaves a Mirror Finish favoured by many woodworkers and knife owners.
The Japanese 6000 grit polishing stone needs only a splash of water on the surface to cut properly.
To achieve a surgically sharp edge on your tools, nothing works faster or better than Japanese water stones. The abrasive slurry produced on top of the stone cuts aggressively and polishes the blade as it sharpens. If youve never tried sharpening with water stones before, youll be astounded by the results.
The Waterstone is mounted on an attractive Wood Stand.
