Waterstone Description:
The 1200 Grit Waterstone is a mid-range stone for finishing an edge.
Japanese Waterstones can produce a surface that is almost unbelievably bright and chrome-like while putting a legendary edge on cutting tools.
The Japanese Waterstone is ideal for just about any knife or tool. In recent years, these stones have become very popular among woodworkers.
The fast cutting ability is favoured by woodworkers where speed and a razor sharp Edge is required.
Coarser grit stones are used to remove nicks and for first step sharpening of badly dulled tools. Mid-range grits, 1000 and 4000 take that shaped edge to a very sharp edge.
To achieve a surgically sharp edge on your tools, nothing works faster or better than Japanese water stones. The abrasive slurry produced on top of the stone cuts aggressively and polishes the blade as it sharpens.
If you've never tried sharpening with water stones before, you'll be astounded by the results.
