The Silver Stag Beef Eater Knife is manufactured out of quality D2 Tool Steel; a High Carbon Steel possessing extremely high wear resisting properties. The high Chromium content provides good corrosion resistance.
Silver Stag heat-treat their D2 blades to a 60 Rockwell Hardness and the blades will retain their factory edge for extended periods of heavy use.
When it does come time to re-sharpen, your Tool Steel Blade it is easier to sharpen than Stainless Steel.
D2 Tool Steel is primarily used by the best Custom Knife Makers and anyone who has ever used a good D2 Steel Blade in the field, raves about the Steel’s cutting ability, durability, and edge holding properties.
Silver Stag strongly believes D2 is the best Steel you can use for a hardcore, working knife!
The Knife comes with a 9 cm long wide Drop-Point Blade and the handle is made from Moose or Elk Antler Handle Scales.
