Knife Description:

DPx picked the Italian firm Lion Steel to manufacture this knife based on their long heritage of quality, award winning folders. The DPx HEST Folder is the collaboration of Lion Steel Knives and Robert Young Pelton of World’s Most Dangerous Places.

The DPx HEST Folder is based on Pelton's hard time in dangerous places and is designed and made for hard use in hostile conditions.

The DPx Hest Folder features an 8 cm Drop-Point Blade manufactured out of Sleipner Tool Steel which has an exceptional edge retention, resists corrosion and has a Rockwell Index Hardness of 60.

Sleipner is a fine grain Tool Steel with greater edge retention and increased resistance to chipping than D2 and provides excellent wear resistance.

The massive Blade has been polished, beads blasted.

The Folder comes with a US Titanium Alloy Frame, patented RotoBlock Adjustment, Glass Breaker and a ¼” Hex-Bit Driver in Handle Frame that also doubles as a rear Lashing Point.

The Handle Scale is G-10, a virtually indestructible Polymer that is lightweight and is unaffected by heat, humidity or freezing.

The unique hard-use jimping provides a no-slip thumb grip in slippery conditions and also doubles as a wire stripper or lashing point.
