Polystriker XL Description:

Made from recyclable ABS plastic, the polySTRIKER™Ultra-light Ferrocium Rod Firestarter fills the minimalist niche without sacrificing design or usability.

The tungsten carbide insert is built into an easy-to-use striking tool that snaps into the handle.

The PolySTRIKER Fire Starter features a 4 cm long x 0.4 cm diameter ferro rod set into the 6.2 cm long and 1.3 cm wide handle.

The plastic handle is shaped to give grip and a thumb support and one side features a large recess into which the striker is clipped for storage.

The striker is a 6 mm long x 5 mm wide carbide head set into a 4.2 cm plastic handle that has moulded ridges for grip, has a lanyard hole in the curved butt end and knobs along the sides for it to clip into the handle recess.

The tungsten carbide head is sharpened on all 4 edges for efficient striking, and the striker and rod handle are linked by a strong lanyard.

The PolySTRIKER Ultra-Light weighs 14 grams and is 10.3 cm long and very simple and comfortable to use.

It lasts for around 1500 strikes and the Ferrocium rod can be replaced.

In use the carbide head sends masses of sparks of over 3,000 degrees C showering onto your tinder with surprisingly little pressure or effort.
