The Silver Stag D2 Pocket Series Small Lock Back Pocket Knife is manufactured out of quality D2 Tool Steel; a High Carbon Steel possessing extremely high wear resisting properties. Its high Chromium content provides good corrosion resistance.
The Small Lockback Pocket Knife comes with an 7 cm modified Drop-Point Blade manufactured from D2 Tool Steel.
Silver Stag heat-treat their D2 Blades to a Hardness of 60 RcH on the Rockwell Scale. This results in Blades will retain their factory edge for extended periods of heavy use.
When it does come time to re-sharpen, your D2 Tool Steel Blade it is easier to sharpen than Stainless Steel. Anyone who has ever used a good D2 Steel Blade in the field, raves about the Steel’s cutting ability, durability, and edge holding properties.
