The Fallkniven F1dz Knife is the latest version of the venerable Swedish Air Foirce Pilot Knife that made Fallkniven famous.
With the same size and shape as the standard version the F1dz has a desert sand colored Thermorun Handle and Fallkniven’s incredible Laminated Cobalt Steel at 60 Rockwell Hardness for fantastic edge retention.
The laminated Cobalt Steel on this knife represents an upgrade from the standard version in Edge Retention all while retaining great lateral strength and toughness. The black coated blade makes the F1dz non-reflective/non-glare (and looks quite cool with the desert tan handle we must say). A fully exposed tang makes this Fallkniven tough as nails just like all the other knives in the line.
Carrying the F1dz is quick and easy with the included black Zytel Sheath.
Model F1 is the official Survival Knife for Pilots within the Swedish Air Force since 1995.
Model F1 represents an entirely different philosophy with respect to knives for survival use. At the same time it combines the experience of generations of knife manufacturing with modern technology.
