Machete Description:

From the Jungles of Malaysia comes the Parang Machete, an extremely well balanced heavy Machete that will slice as well chop. The Parang is distal tapered and tapered from the spine to the edge to make one of the most high performance large cutting blades on the market today.

The Condor Duku Parang Machete comes with a 39.4 cm Blade manufactured from 1075 High Carbon Steel. Its Blade is heat treated and annealed to 53-54 Rockwell Hardness. The Edges are hand-finished and polished to Razor Sharpness. The natural finish of the blade gives the Duku Parang a rustic and earthy feel.

The Duku’s Handle is made from triple-riveted Central American Hardwood and comes with a Brass lined Lanyard Hole.

Tackle practically any tough Outdoors Job with this Parang Machete from Condor. The Duku Parang is extremely durable and a great Chopper.

This Parang Machete has a great balance and great feel in the hand. The Handle with the larger ball at the end really helps keep Blade Control. Put a good piece of 550 Paracord on the Handle for Safety and you are good to go!

The Duku Parang Machete comes with a handcrafted brown welted Leather Sheath with Belt Loop.

All Condor Machetes come razor sharp from the factory and no additional is sharpening required.

About the Designer:

Joe Flowers is responsible for many of the interesting blade designs throughout the Condor Product Line. Joe writes for a myriad of magazines and publications, and contributes regularly to the Outdoor Community, concentrating on Woodcraft and Primitive Living. His knowledge of Outdoor Gear led to him consulting on Equipment Design and Function for many companies.

Joe holds a degree in Zoology with a minor in Entomology, and researches heavily into all things outdoors. Joe Flowers teaches Fitness, Martial Arts, organizes Youth Camps, and hosts Outdoor Skills and Survival Classes around the US.

Joe is an avid Naturalist, Hunter, Fisherman, Herpetologist, Videographer, Beekeeper, Knife Thrower, Guide, and regularly travels internationally in search of Knife Knowledge and unique animals. You can find Condor® on Joe’s side when he is deep in the Amazonian Rain Forest, or up high in the Deserts of Utah.
