With the instant popularity of Bark River's Kalahari Hunting Knife, Mike Stewart decided to offer a matching Filet-Boning Knife that utilizes the same Handle.

The Kalahari Handle seems much more universally accepted and more comfortable to a wide number of people. The Blade will work equally well as a Filet Knife or a Boning Knife. Bark River is using Premium CPM S35VN for Blade Steel with a Rockwell Hardness of 60 RcH because of it's fantastic Edge Retention while still being easy to re-sharpen.

The riveted Canvas Micarta Handle with Lanyard Hole is superbly designed with a palm swell and contouring that provides for s secure, comfortable grip even with extended use.

Should you desire a matching set, the handle is close enough in style to match with Bark River's Kitchen Knives, such as the new Super Chef's Knife or Santoku. Just like Bark River's Kitchen Knives, the Kalahari Sportsman is comfortable after sustained use and efficient.

The knife carries in a top quality brown Leather Sheath with Belt Loop.
