Keeping knives sharp is easy if you sharpen them often on a Taylor’s Eye Witness Chantry Modern Knife Sharpener.

The Chantry Modern Knife Sharpener was designed by Sam Hecht in 2005 and is a winner of a Design Plus Award (Ambiente - Frankfurt 2005). Utilising the same proven mechanism and sharpening method found in all our previous Chantry Sharpeners, the Chantry Modern has been restyled to compliment the modern kitchen with clean lines and no-nonsense functionality.

The Chantry Modern features 2 small butchers' steels - the same hardness, temper and cut as a professional sharpening steel. The steels are pre-set at the optimal edge angle and are spring loaded so as not to damage the knife. To sharpen any knife just run the blade between the steels 4 or 5 times - as if slicing bread.

The Chantry is suitable for both plain and scalloped edges, carbon or stainless steel blades. To sharpen your knife simply run the blade between the steels four or five times as if slicing bread.

Even the best knife will lose its initial sharpness during the course of time. The Chantry will make even this task seem easy. Safe and easy to use.
