Where did the name IZULA come from?

The locals in Peru call the meanest, nastiest ant of the jungle by the name "Isula". We know it as the Bullet Ant.

The Bullet Ant is known to be independent, tough, light on its feet, and a real aggressive survivor - the IZULA knife is built the same way.

This knife designed by ESEE (previously RAT Cutlery) is the perfect lightweight survival kit or concealed carry knife.

Light and strong, the Izula offers up exceptional performance in a small package. Weighing just 100 grams. without the sheath, the Izula can be easily secured on a neck lanyard, on a belt or harness using a short piece of paracord and is a great choice for a survival kit. Its 1095 high carbon steel construction ensures outstanding edge endurance and toughness.

A textured powder coating prevents reflections and provides corrosion resistance.

The skeletonized handle is contoured for improved handling and comfort while ridges along the spine provide thumb traction.

A slot, two 6.3 mm holes and one 12.7 mm hole provide several mounting options and/or can be used to wrap an extra length of paracord.

The aft hole is large enough to easily accommodate a snap or Sbiner.
