Years ago Spyderco introduced an eight-inch stone in either fine or medium grit unequivocally designed for the field and range called the 701 Profile made out of High Alumina Ceramic.

The 20 cm long Profile alumina ceramic stones are unequivocally designed for the field and range.

The Spyderco Professional File Set includes a medium and a fine sharpening rod.

The medium grit (brown) stone sharpens very dull edges. A fine grit (white) stone adds a finishing touch for a professional, finely-honed edge. This stone is used dry without oil or water lubrication making it convenient and mess-free.

The elliptical shape offers four distinct sharpening surfaces suitable for plain and serrated edges, shop tools and household items.

A flat surface and large radius for Plain edges, a small radius for serrated edges and a groove running the length of the stones for pointed objects like fishhooks, awls and darts.
