Silky Nata Machete Description:

The Silky Nata is a unique 'machete' from Japan.

Chopping is often faster than sawing or cutting. The NATA is a cross between a knife and an axe. It is forged in SKS-51 (JIS) steel and the special Genki rubber grip absorbs the shock very well: the vibrations are hardly transmitted to the hand or arm.

The double edge, double ground blade is made from a special alloy using traditional Japanese sword steel making methods and is designed to keep its edge longer, even with continual use.

The non-slip Genki rubber handle is designed to reduce impact on the hand by up to 60% making the Nata ideal for heavy duty applications.

The blade is perfectly weighed to swing smoothly to ensure a very efficient cut. Ideal for de-limbing and clearing brush.

The semi-square tip of the NATA helps put the weight-forward and gives good balance plus the rubber handle gives great grip and takes almost the entire “jarring” effect, that machetes can have, out. Also good for making a shelter, constructing a blind or spiltting a carcass down the backbone.

The Nata comes complete with a hard ABS plastic sheath and easy-release belt clip similar to all Silky saws.
