The hollow edge creates pockets of air which prevent extra thin or soft slices from sticking to the blade. From cubing to cutting, slicing to chopping, accept no substitute for Wusthof Classic Ikon Santoku Knife.
The skillfully honed by hand blades are incredibly sharp and are easily resharpened. Completely buffed and polished by hand, the new Wusthof PEtec edge is fully forged out of a single piece of Chromium-Molybdenum-Vanadium Steel and stays sharp up to 30 percent longer than other knives.
The Wusthof Ikon Range was designed to marry style and functionality from Handle to Tip. The 2/3rd Bolster allows you to sharpen the whole length of the blade.
The Wusthof Ikon Knife Handles are manufactured from African Blackwood. As a result of its extreme density, minimal porosity and high resin content, this wood species is highly insensitive to moisture, The dark brown hues with distinctive wood grain markings make every knife unique.
To promote greater control, the balanced bolster contributes to safety and strength. The handle is finished off with a traditional triple rivet and exposed full tang. Each knife is carefully weighted to ensure perfect balance in the hand.
