The convenient and effective microfilter
 
The Katadyn Vario is lightweight and easy to use design and is the best choice for all around use.
 
The Vario combines individual efficiency with the simplest possible handling. The technology it uses consists of three filter levels: a high-performance glass fiber filter, a ceramic pre-filter that can be adjusted individually according to the cloudiness of the water, and active charcoal for eliminating odors.
 
Anyone who needs up to two liters of drinking water per minute can use the glass fiber and active charcoal filter. If the water is extremely cloudy, the ceramic pre-filter can be fitted in a moment in order to extend the service life of the glass fiber filter.
 
The Vario is compatible with most standard outdoor bottles and hydration bladders.
 
Unique, pleated cartridge design provides fast and easy pumping. Convenient and handy for 1–4 persons (e.g. while hiking or trekking). This water filter is compatible with most hydration bladders and water bottles.
 
Katadyn’s exclusive silver impregnated ceramic filter removes bacteria and protozoa.

The Katadyn Vario Backcountry Series Microfilter (8013829) is a pump water filter  for 1–2 persons which is a light and compact water filter units available.

It is ideal for hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, bicycling, travel, business trips, and other uses.
 
The advanced Katadyn AntiClog Technology with 0.3 micron glassfiber (no cleaning needed) activated Carbon Granulate included with this Microfilter System removes or reduces bacteria, protozoa, cysts, algae, spores, sediment, dirt, micro-organisms, viruses, and other particles down to the 0.3 micron level.  The carbon core reduces unpleasant tastes and odours. It also reduces radioactive particles.
 
The Vario Microfilter works for up to 2000 litres before needing a filter replacement.
It includes: Prefilter, Bottle Clip, Bottle Adapter and Carry Bag.
