About IXL Wostenholm:

There have been Cutlers in Sheffield since the fifteenth century and the City is famous for its knives. When Sheffield is mentioned anywhere in the world all think 'Steel and Cutlery'.

Revered all over the World as the pinnacle of excellence in knife manufacture, George Wostenholm of Washington Works in Sheffield employed 800 people at one time and was arguably England's greatest Cutlery Manufacturer.

Modern hand-made replications of the 19th century Bowies and Pocketknives that still bear the original Wostenholm trademarks granted by the Cutlers Company of Hallamshire in 1787.

Along with Joseph Rodgers, George Wostenholm is possibly the most famous name in Cutlery. These two, once great rival companies are now sitting alongside each other in The Egginton - Ibberson Group of Companies of Sheffield since 1986.

IXL Knives were produced to the exacting standards laid down by the British Ministry of Defence and covered by NATO Stock Numbers.

The Joseph Rodgers George Wostenholm IXL 3-Piece British Army Clasp Knife comes with a 6 cm polished High Carbon Steel Sheepfoot Blade, Can Opener, Screwdriver, Marlin Spike and Clasp.

The Knife measures 9.5 cm closed and comes with a brushed Stainless Steel Handle marked "The Genuine British Army Knife".
