Knife Description:
The DPx Gear Hostile Environment Field Tool (HEFT) is designed and built for big-knife work. Whether that means skinning a moose, building a shelter or carrying it on your next overseas adventure.
The knife is handmade by LionSTEEL in Northern Italy.
The 145 mm Drop Point Blade is made of Sleipner Tool Steel with a 60 Rockwell Hardness which boasts extreme wear resistance, resistance to chipping and edge retention. It comes with a Titanium Carbo-Nitride (TiCN) PVD coating.
Sleipner Steel is a chromium-vanadium-molybdenum alloy much like D2 steel and characterized by its edge retention, ease of sharpening and resistance to wear and chipping.
The back of the blade is 4.7 mm thick. There's a lanyard hole and lashing points and an integrated striker and pry bar on the pommel.
The HEFT Knife is expertly balanced for hours of hard use without causing blisters, hot spots, or bruising.
The black contoured G10 handle is hollow and designed to store anything survival materials like fire starter or water-purification tablets.
The Assault is a low-profile, super-durable combatives tool. Its PVD black-coated blade has a very low visual signature, making it an excellent choice for law enforcement and military use.
The knife weighs 197 grams and comes with a black Cordura Sheath with Utility Pocket.
