About Global:
The first GLOBAL knives were designed in 1985 by Komin Yamada who developed a range of knives which were truly new and revolutionary.
From very modest beginnings GLOBAL has developed into one of the success stories of the 1990's. Still crafted by hand in Yoshikin's factory in Niigata to the most exacting standards, they are sold in more than 65 countries around the world.
Knife Description:
The Global G Series are basic kitchen knives made from the finest stainless steel material.
The blades utilize CROMOVA 18 Stainless Steel, Ice tempered and hardened to Rockwell C56-58 which holds a razor sharp edge longer than any other steel and resists rust, stains and corrosion.
G-21 is a stainless steel flexible boning knife with a narrow width, flexible slender blade which makes it the perfect tool for jobs that require precision cutting and slicing and make it easy to get to and around tight spots, cut along the bone and disjoint the meat.
The way the knife blade has been manufactured means that it flexes and returns to its normal straightness after use - a great knife to bone poultry and fish.
The handle is one of the most distinctive features of Global knives - their trademark design. The handle is metal and the knife is one solid piece. The handle is textured with multiple circular recessions which show up as black dots in the handle.
Each knife is carefully weighted to ensure perfect balance in the hand.
