The advanced Katadyn silver impregnated ceramic depth filter with activated carbon granulate (8013632) included with this microfilter system removes or reduces bacteria, protozoa, cysts, algae, spores, sediment, dirt, micro-organisms, viruses, and other particles down to the 0.2 micron level. It also reduces radioactive particles. It works for up to 2,000 gallons before needing a filter replacement. The included ceramic filter can be cleaned multiple times before being replaced.
