Wetterlings Small Hunting Axe 115 - Handforged
Model: 115
Overall Length: 39 cm
Made in Sweden
Axe, one of mankinds oldest tools. In the heat, the soot and the noise the blacksmith has since time immemorial hammered passion, shape, and soul into the glowing iron.
For over 100 years Wetterlings have made axes. Wetterlings axes are tools of the highest quality in terms of durability and performance.
A Wetterlings is not only an axe - its a friend for life.
About Wetterling:
All Wetterling Axes are handforged from Swedish Quality Steel alloyed from iron, carbon, silicon, manganese and vanadium.
Hand Forging uses presses that deliver many blows, making an axe stronger than if they were drop forged. The special axe alloy used by Wetterling makes high quality hardening possible.
After grinding, hardening and tempering the Wetterling axes keep a Rockwell Hardness of 57 - 58. These are the main reasons why Wetterling axes hold a keen edge with good sting longer than most axes.
The handles are lathed from Americaon Hickory. The best stress capacity and resistance to blows make hickory the wood of choice for good axe handles.
Axe Description:
Wetterlings Camping Axes are finely-balanced and functional Axes.
The Cutting Edge is convex and the bevel face slightly widened to chop or split Firewood.
All axes have a polished poll so that they can be used as a hammer or to skin animals.
Hunting axes are supplied with a protective sheath of tanned leather.
