A Wetterlings is not only an axe – it’s a friend for life.
About Wetterlings:
For over 100 years Wetterlings make axes. Wetterlings axes are tools of the highest quality in terms of durability and performance.
All Wetterlings Axes are handforged from Swedish Quality Steel.
The special Axe Alloy used by Wetterlings makes high quality hardening possible.
After grinding, hardening and tempering the Wetterling axes keep a Rockwell Hardness of 57–58. These are the main reasons why Wetterling axes hold a keen edge with good ‘sting’ longer than most axes.
The handles are lathed from American Hickory. The best stress capacity and resistance to blows make hickory the wood of choice for good axe handles.
Axe Description:
This hatchet is ideal for camping due to its light weight and versatile qualities. Fantastic fit for your backpack or belt.
Wetterlings first produced this classic hatchet back in the 1950’s. They make it now just as they did then, a 500g head drop forged from Swedish Steel with nail puller and 380mm handle.
At 500 g the Classic Scout Hatchet seems a good compromise between being big enough to earn it's keep and not being too heavy for carrying.
Hand forged in Sweden from Swedish steel with an American Hickory Handle and supplied with a leather sheath.
